Presentación del nuevo disco de Depeche Mode . . .

Después de anunciar la semana pasada que ya habían concluido la grabación de su próximo álbum, los Depeche Mode han filmado el vídeo del primer single, “Wrong”.

El clip ha sido dirigido por Patrick Daughters, cuyo trabajo en el vídeo de Feist, “1, 2, 3, 4”, fue candidato a un Grammy. También ha trabajado con Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, Interpol y The Shins.

El nuevo álbum de Depeche Mode –aún sin título definitivo- contendrá doce canciones, ha sido producido Ben Hillier y se publicará el 20 de abril de 2009. Entre los temas que incluirá están “Wrong”, “Peace Will Come to Me”, “Hole to Feed”, “In Chains” y “Comeback”. Este disco supondrá el retorno del trío británico a sus raíces electrónicas, al menos en algunos de sus temas. Martin Gore ha utilizado un equipo de sintetizadores analógicos, al estilo de los que había en los años 70's y 80's.

Mientras, Martin Gore participa en el nuevo álbum de Nouvelle Vague, la banda del productor francés Marc Collin. El disco es una compilación de versiones de clásicos de la New Wave interpretados a dúo con sus cantantes originales. Además del líder de Depeche Mode, también colaboran Terry Hall, de The Specials; Ian McCulloch, de Echo and the Bunnymen, y Chris Bailey, de The Saints.

Scheduled for release April 20th via EMI/Mute (April 21st in the US).

The video for the first single, "Wrong", was directed by Patrick Daughters, and shot in New York in mid-December 2008.
